Claudia Bamberg was a researcher at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for the History and Theory of Biography, as well as at the Frankfurter Goethe-Hause - Freies Deutsches Hochstift, until September 2012. She took part in the Hugo von Hofmannsthal research strand and in the book project 'Hofmannsthal. Orte' (Hofmannsthal. Places).

Since October 2012 Claudia Bamberg has been working a researcher at the Institut für Neuere deutsche Literatur at Philipps-Universität Marburg, working on a DFG-funded project titled 'Digitalization and Electronic Editing of the Correspondence of August Wilhelm Schlegel'.
